First EPC invites children to Kingdom Rock

A summer kids’ event called Kingdom Rock will be hosted at our church from June 10-14, 2013.  Kingdom Rock will run from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm each day.  At Kingdom Rock, kids participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, dig into yummy treats, experience epic Bible adventures,  and test out Sciency-Fun Gizmos they’ll take home and play with all summer long.  Each day concludes with Fanfare Finale—a celebration that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned.  Family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily for this special time at 11:40.

Kids at Kingdom Rock will join our international missions effort, One Verse,  to share God’s love with children in Rumba.  Kingdom Rock is for kids from ages 4 (children need to be 4 by 6/10/13) through 4th grade.

First Evangelical Presbyterian’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt was a success, but the weather could have been less wintery.  Tens upon tens upon tens of kids searched for Easter eggs on the church grounds and then came in for an Atonement Message about Jesus’ death for us.  And we finished with some prizes.

Before Lafayette Park School went on Spring Break our Buddy Baggers pitched in to make sure hunger was reduced for the children.  Thanks to the congregation for all the peanut butter donated.  This is a key ingredient for the bags and to stretch the food the children receive.
