Women In Ministry

Women In Ministry includes ALL women in this church.

Some are involved in circles which meet on Tuesday mornings at 9:30 or 10:30 here at the church. We always welcome new members and would try to start a new circle in the afternoon or evening if any of you are interested .

Others are involved in our projects which we use to raise money, all of which is used for missions.

1. The chicken noodle dinner is held early in the year. This is headed up by Karen Moss and her kitchen crew.

2. We have rummage sales in the spring and fall which are organized by Rachel Hendrix. Anyone can help with this by donating, helping to set up and/or sell, and even shopping.

3. Joyce Lantz organizes the cookie walk each December. Those who like to bake donate and those who don’t like to bake can come and buy.

4. Every other year we hold an auction. This year we had a silent auction with pizza after church on a Sunday.

DSC01687 The Mother-Daughter Banquet is held each May. This is a salad buffet and entertainment which is for all women of the church.

In addition we are responsible for funeral dinners. These are organized by Phyllis Krise and Marcelline Allen and served by volunteers. We even let the men wash dishes.

The money made goes to various missions. All of these have been carefully checked by Gail Myers so we know our money is used in a way that supports the mission of the church. During the past year we have supported our own Denise Owen in Japan, Missy Himelick in Chicago, and Shirley Bowers in Haiti. Others include MUFF, Birthright, Open Arms, Rescue Mission, Equiventure, Sound Of Joy, Buddy Bags, Medical Benevolence, and Cabwaylingo. These can very from year to year as needs are brought to our attention.

If any of you have questions, feel free to the church and the office staff will put you in touch with someone who can answer your questions.
