Young At Heart
“Young at Heart” had its beginning when Dr. Harry Walrond was minister of First Presbyterian Church. It was known as “Somewhat Sixties”. Young at Heart’s purpose is to have Christian fellowship among the older members of First Evangelical Presbyterian Church and their guests. The staff takes turns providing the devotions (and sometimes devotional music) for the group followed by lunch at one of the local restaurants. The group meets the second Thursday of each month at 11:30 a.m. in the church library except for the months of January and February. The planning committee arranges the monthly meetings. At the present time Shirley Martin, Joan and Noah Shouse, and Gloria and Charles Nipple handle arrangements. All seniors are welcome.
